Description of Duties:

Needed to guide & mentor engineers within the Plumbing & Fire Department, manage workload within the department, & provide quality control for assigned work. The department head will define & organize department standards, details, and specifications & head up small specialty projects. Meet with clients, assist CA if the team cannot meet return deadlines, provide annual performance reviews of PFP Project Managers, and attend yearly performance reviews given by PFP Project Managers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related degree +5 years of experience as a plumbing & fire protection engineer & a minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing & fire protection projects, with project management experience leading teams. A minimum of 3 years of CAD and Revit experience is required. Will accept a master’s degree plus 2 years of experience in the alternative. Certified Professional Engineer (PE) & Certified in Plumbing Design. Limited travel in the NY/NJ area for project site visits.
