In this COVID-19 era, many of our clients are requesting enhanced HVAC filtration systems, more fresh air and less cross-contamination between client spaces. KEA is seeing this trend in many building types, not just Medical Facilities. Another interesting 2020 Pandemic trend: increased power and internet in multi-family residential buildings. This is to support increased work-from-home demands. We foresee the affects to COVID-19 to be far reaching and long lasting.    

Well before the 2020 Pandemic, KEA is proud to say we became home to one of the nation's first Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP) Certified Engineers. Developed with the participation of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association, the HFDP certification validates competency to incorporate standards, guidelines and regulatory codes as well as unique healthcare facility requirements and design principles in HVAC system design.
